Hope you have a good birthday celebration--into a wonderful year for you and yours!
Happy Birthday Hannah! Each one becomes a little more valued, I find. I have a friend and former co-worker named Andrea Eisen who lives in Chapel Hill. Her husband is a geneticist and entrepreneur in that field. She is likely involved in the Jewish community, among many things. But, if you would ever have occasion to meet her, you would likely enjoy her company, and vice versa! Hope you get to see those grandchildren fairly often. They live in very interesting cities--I assume you remind them that Chapel Hill is about half way so they could come there easily! (This is a grandmother measure--not an arithmetic problem of course!)

Sounds like a lot of kids to help you celebrate! Do you teach them how we do the 4th of July??? (Probably no fireworks, Canadians are far too sensible to put up with the noise and injuries! Some day I am hoping we will get up in your neck of the woods--I've never been west of the Banff/Lake Louise area. and would love to see more of BC! have a great day, and a wonderful year!

Happy B'Day, and a great year ahead Billy! Send the rest of the cake home with the kids!
Some news about LHS that shows how things have changed, and still excels in maybe unexpected ways-- others would enjoy this, too. LJS 1/28/17: LHS Economics Team placed 7th is the statewide Economics Challenge competition last month. Promoting economics education with University of Nebraska, 115 teams of 1-5 members compete in written tests and Quiz Bowl-type events. LHS team members are:Sinai Mandungu, Clarissa Merrill, Zach Meyer, and Colby Sluka. Colby's score ranked in the top 10% of the almost 450 Nebraska students in the 2016 competition. Another Job Well Done, Go LINKS!
Gus! February is such a great time to have a birthday! Everyone else is sick of winter, and we are celebrating! Hope you have a great one! My youngest was born the day after his due date of Feb. 3--on the 4th. My mother never forgave me b/c I was also due on the 4th, but not born until the 24th! She had a dinner party to go to that night, and often mentioned that she missed it! (Who thinks a dinner party is a good thing when they are 20 days overdue?) Oddly, as I think, never knew who was giving the dinner party. She was living with my dad's sister the nurse in Iowa and he was in the Pacific on a battle ship. Thanks for the memory! Hope that darling quartet of sons and their families will shower you with love--and follow my rule about gifts for this time in life--nothing that is fattening, needs dusting, watered, or let out regularly! Enjoy!
Well, we roll around the sun another time! Hope you had a great day, maybe with the grands over the weekend! Here's to another year of great times, good gardens, and maybe a trip or to! Enjoy!

Enjoy your birthday Dean! I know of two people who are celebrating 101 and 105 years old! My advice is to take it easy--you may have as many as 33 more to celebrate! Good grief! Be sure to call LFD before you light the candles--ha,ha! Actually, skip the fire and go directly to the cake! Enjoy, we wish you another great year!
