I have fond memories of Don as he lived just half a block from me (7th & B) .  We spent many  housr on his corner lot playing a variety of games.  That neighborhood and its people include  many happy memories.  Blessings to his famiy and close friends.

I lived on 8th & B Street (otherside of the block from Mary Steinmiller) and spent time with Don as well. Don lived on A Street between 7th and 8th street. His Dad died when we were in Jr. High so his Mom rasied him and a brother and sister. His Mom used to drive us to Boy Scout meetings. Don was responsible for me getting into Scouts both Boy and Cub Scouts.  He excelled in Scouts where I didn't do so much but it was a learning experince. We went from Grade school to High School together. He will be missed....R.I.P. Don....

I met Don and Jim Atkins in Boy Scouts when ushering Husker football games, both together.  I really didn't know them well, but Don and I had every class together at Everett in 8th grade, I think.  Wel kind of kept in touch in high school off and on.  Don was a gentle soul.  It isi sad to learn of hisl death.

Don and I were in Cub and Boy Scouts together. Went camping at Camp "Minisquito" that's what we called it south of Pioneers Blvd and 5th. Got our Hiking Merit Badge together and spent time at each other's homes.  We shared the same birthday. Neat guy, sorry to hear he's no longer with us.
