Gladys Marie Olsen, age 51, died Thursday, October 31, 1996 in Austin, Texas.  Marie lost a long and courageous battle with cancer, and is now in Heaven.

Marie was a graduate of the University of Nebraska where she earned a bachelor's degree in business administration. She worked for Sandoz Pharmaceuticals for 17 years, mostly in Lincoln, Nebraska before being transferred to the Sandoz New Jersey office.  She moved to Austin, Texas in 1986 and became an Allstate Insurance agent.  

She is suvived by her brother and family Debbie and Lisa of Cedar Park, Texas; her good friend, Brian Lehr of  Austin; her dogs Hughette and Sam, and numerous relatives and loved ones across the country.  Marie donated her body to medical research in order for all of us to learn more about cancer.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

A celebration of life for Marie Olsen will be held at the Renaissance Austin Hotel on Sunday, November 10 from 6 pm to 8 pm.
