Rosemary E. Sharp, 72, of Lincoln, passed away Thursday, Sept. 7, 2017, surrounded by loved ones. Rosemary was born Feb. 3, 1945, in Lincoln, graduated from Lincoln High School, and attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She worked in various posts at the Nebraska Department of Roads, including secretary for eminent domain in the legal division, and later for The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks. Most of all, she was a wife of 48 years, a mother, grandmother and cherished friend. We will miss her generosity and kindness, her playfulness and her smile, her talkative nature, her craftiness, love of holidays, children, owls, Elvis, puzzles, reading, knickknacks and sweets.

 She is preceded by her parents, Conrad and Rose (Walters) Hinkle; and brother, Theodore Hinkle and beloved cousin Verna (Peter) Damm.

She is survived by her husband, Daniel, daughter Stephanie (Darren Nielsen), Roeland Park, Kansas; sons Brian (Malika Kapadia), Rochester, NY; and Jordan Masek, Lincoln; grandchildren Declan, Sarah and Owen; a grandbaby expected in January 2018; nieces and a nephew.
