Yvonne Arlene Brown (Mumaugh)

Yvonne A. Brown Mumaugh, born April 18, 1945 in Lincoln, Nebraska, to Eileen and Walt Brown, passed away on November 15, 2025 at the age of 80.  A devoted and hard-working woman, Yvonne's life was filled with love, dedication, and a passion for her family and interests.  

Yvone graduated from Lincoln High School in 1963.  She had a fulfilling career, starting with the State and later at Square D, before retiring from Lincoln Snack in 2016.  During her hearly years she married the love of her life, Gerald (Jerry) Mumaugh.  Together they raised two children, AllanWeber and Jolene Mumaugh, and enjoyed 52 wonderful years of marriage.

Yvone had a love for camping, animals, especially her dogs Bear and Coco, and had a fondness for polka music, playing the accordion as a child.  She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family, with specialties including runzas, kolaches, sauerkraut, and dumplings.  Yvonne and Gerald cherished their time together, often exploring the great outdoors with their camper.  She also enjoyed feeding and watching the neighborhood birds and squirrels.

She is survived by her husband, Gerald Mumaugh; her son, Allen (Ann) Weber; daughter, Jolene Mumaugh, and her nieces and nephews.  Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents, Eileen and Walt Brown; her sister, Charlotte Hotovy, and her brother Dwaine Kohout.  In honor of Yvonne's membory, memorials may be made to the Capital Humane Society and the American Cancer Society.
