Dear friend and Air Base buddy,

Many of my favorite LHS memories include you, so you will remain a 17-18 year-old baseball phenom until my memory chip expires. Thanks for “sitting through” all those stage productions for me. Not nearly as exciting as all those games I got to watch you pitch – from Gerry’s Sport Shop all the way to the State Championship. GO LINKS!  Thanks for all the fun times off the diamond as well. And for serving as a Lifeguard for the "AquaLinkettes" at the 50th Reunion. You will be missed at future get-togethers.

Your cheerful attitude at the 70th B’day Bash (knowing how close this day was) should be an inspiration to all of us. You fought the good fight and went down swinging.  May  God bless you, and keep you, and give you Peace.

Jule and I send condolences to Denise and all the rest of your family (especially your dad).

Farewell, dear friend.  You have given us three beautiful women to carry on your skills, your gifts of humor and friendliness.  Your presence was a gift to all of us at a pivotal time in our lives.  Gary has said it well.  We will miss you, and always remember you.

He will be missed by many there is no doubt about that.  Some have current memories, others of us only of the past.  Which ever we are; both are extremely lucky that our path crossed yours along this road we travel.  Go in peace Mick!

To all of us who had the great pleasure and honor of having Mick as a friend and schoolmate, his passing leaves a hole which will remain.  Mickey, as his team mates knew him at Lincoln High, was the best team mate one could have....always supportive and nurturing.....besides being a constant leader among us.  As a friend throughout high school, Mick was a truly constant companion, even when he wasn't present.....This is now how I'll remember him....a constant positive, in my life.

The loss is heavy to many, but it is good to know he has now found peace after a long battle.

I first met you at Lincoln High, when you joined our junior class.  I knew you as a nice guy and a very good baseball player, leading the LHS class of 1963 to a state baseball championship...Wow, how proud we still are of that accomplishment!  I also knew you through the years, as a successful part of the Gallup Organization, and then later, joining Olsson Ass.  I have just recently learned, however, just how successful you were, and of all the degrees and honors you have received!

At the 50th Class Reunion, I heard that you had some health problems, but since you were so ' up' during that event, having such a good time, it was difficult to think of you as a sick person.  I really enjoyed our visits, getting to know you better through them, and I enjoyed just being around you!  It was not until the Birthday Party and from that time on, that I found out just what an exceptional person you were.  It was at that time I learned the real story of what you were going through and what you were facing.  Your acceptance of what was happining to you, and the strength you showed of being at peace with that reality was so inspiring!  Our last  good visit was on your 70th birthday, Jan. 11.  It was such a positive conversation, and one that I will always, remember.  You are a very good friend, Mick, and I am proud to have known you!!!

My Condolences go out to the Zangari Family. A great loss to All. I knew of some of Micks accomplishments but not all until I read his Obit. WOW ...... !!!! In the last couple of class reunions we had some conversations and I got to know him. I feel privileged and honored to have been able to record his and Denise's image at our 70th Birthday Party. This is my way of honoring a great guy and classmate. Thank You....

Again my condolences go out to the family.....

Dear Mick, from another air base friend.

So many memories of hot summer nights in Lincoln, cruising in cars, talking about the mysteries of the world, our futures, girls, college plans and the best way to throw a curve ball. An irremoveable part of the fabric of my life.

Also recall the great lunch you, Jim D. and I had when I came back for the USC game. Great memories relived and fondly remembered.

Our thoughts are with you and your family.

Chris
