,Dave, was trying to reach out to you. I'm sorry we didn't connect last month. Rest In Peace, my friend. I'm glad we were able to have dinner with wives in Meridian, Idaho, a few years ago. We shared a varied life together on 1st street. Sleep overs, your mom's (Molly) kraut runzas, camp outs, hunting, basketball in your backyard . Sitting in your kitchen as your Dad returned from snow plowing the roads, hot runzas again. All those Park school, Everett, and LHS memories. I'm keeping many moments between you and me, private and cherished.
  You will be very missed.
Your friend of 72 years.

Sad to hear of "Skeets" passing.  He was such a star & BMOC at LHS --- he will not be forgotten!

I will miss Dave at the reunions. I once asked him if it was ok to still call him "Skeets" and he pointed at two of his grandchildren and said, "That's what they call me." We also shared a laugh over the fact that, as court-side announcer for all LHS home basketball games my most-repeated line was, "Foul on number 44, Hollibaugh." I was sure he had put that agressive style of play to good use as a Marine. "Semper fi," Skeets.

Sorry to hear about Dave Hollibaugh passing away. Probably about 60 years ago played minor league baseball with Dave in the summertime. I was on the Randolph team and Dave played with F Street Park. At that time a little gal always came to watch Dave. Her name was 'Jenny' and later we all went to Lincoln High. The Dave I knew was competitive yet kind and a wonderful inspiration to all of us. He will surely be missed by all who knew him.  John Reed Poore
